Our goal at St. John's is to keep our focus on our Lord and Savior and his word. We offer a number of ministries for all ages devoted to just that---providing fellowship, fun, and the chance to grow in His word. Here is just a sampling of the ministries we offer. If you have any questions about our ministries, preschool, or church, contact us.
Every bible study is an opportunity to explore and review the word of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is the cornerstone of all our beliefs.

St. John’s Ladies Aid
Our organization is open to any woman who is a confirmed member of our church. The meetings consist of devotions along with planning and participation of upcoming events. Some examples of our service are as follow: provide food and help at dinners and funerals as needed; visit shut ins; support world and home missions; provide confirmation dinners as requested.
St. John's Adult Choir
St. John's Adult Choir exists for the purpose of beautifying the worship services at St. John's. We also go Christmas caroling and lead a Good Friday Tenebrae Service as well. The Adult Choir is open to any confirmed members of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Losing someone we love is one of the hardest challenges we will face at some stage in our lives. We all have different ways of dealing with death and grieving and sometimes we struggle with our feelings or need answers to our questions. Mending Hearts was started to share the faith as well as the doubts. We meet once a month. We gather around fellow group member’s kitchen table to listen and share.
Jesus Cares is a Bible based program for people in the community who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our purpose is to share God's word and love with the residents and show them that Jesus is their Savior! We meet for approximately 1 hour on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month year round. Our program is based on the needs and abilities of the Clearview residents.
St. John’s Sunday School
St. John’s Sunday school is an age appropriate Bible class for children ages Preschool through sixth grade. Our goal is to teach God’s saving truth of salvation and grace through Bible stories. Any child (member or not) is more than welcome to attend to hear this good news. We are located in the school building at St. John’s and we meet on Sundays between services 9:15-10:15 AM (the same time as Adult Bible Class in the Church Basement). Our Sunday school program usually starts the Sunday after Labor Day and ends the Sunday before Memorial Day. New attendees are welcome at any time throughout the year.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a week-long summertime opportunity for kids to spend some time in God’s Word, learning, doing craft projects, and participating in fun activities. This is a great opportunity for everyone to get to know each other and to serve and learn about their Lord.
The preschool is a very busy place to be! Our preschool classroom is full of Jesus' word, learning, and fun. Our preschoolers learn about the basics: colors, shapes, letters, gross motor skills, and, most importantly, about Jesus' love and its role in their lives. The preschoolers take field trips to fun places throughout the school year, learn and play, and participate in school-wide chapels and fun days. Learning time for the preschoolers occurs in the morning. Supervised play and rest time is offered in the afternoon as part of our Eagle Care program.
Youth Group is a time for our high school aged members to get together. The youth of St John’s have the option to attend at least four different high schools in our area. Youth Group offers time for these teens to get together for activities and events giving them the opportunity to keep and build their friendships with each other as school and job commitments create busy lives.
Parish Nurse Ministry
The mission of the Nurse Parish Ministry is to convey the love of Jesus through a holistic, well-focused nursing practice. We serve the congregation with the concept of wellness (health) promotion by providing health information and education; acting as a community liaison to link members to community health agencies; meeting with members to listen to physical, emotional or spiritual concerns; and providing non-invasive measures such as blood pressure screenings.
