Pastor Paul W. Schupmann
Pastor Schupmann was installed at as an associate
pastor at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Juneau in
July of 2007. Since coming to St. John’s he was married
to Regan (2008); Has two daughters Riley (2012) and
In 1981, Pastor Schupmann was born in Bloomington, IL
and at the age of three moved to Aurora, IL (about 30
miles west of Chicago). He grew up in a pastor’s family
and is the 4th child out of 6 children in his family (4 sisters and 1 brother).
Pastor attended Resurrection Ev. Lutheran School in Aurora from K-8th Grade. Then he attended Luther Preparatory School (1999) in Watertown, WI. He went on to college at Martin Luther College (2003) in New Ulm, MN. Pastor received his Master of Divinity from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary (2007) in Mequon, WI. In 2005-2006 he vicared under Pastor Jonathan Rockhoff at Messiah Ev. Lutheran in Wichita, KS.
Pastor Schupmann currently serves as an associate pastor alongside Pastor David Brandt. Pastor Schupmann is specifically focused in on the following areas of ministry at St. John’s: Elder’s work, Evangelism, Stewardship, and St. John’s Horicon (a second-site in Horicon, WI that will hold Saturday night worship services at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home).
Other areas of service to the Lord include: Western Wisconsin District Mission Board; Pastor Partner Mentoring; WELS Commission on Discipleship committee member; School of Outreach.
Pastor Schupmann enjoys time with his family, traveling, athletics, coaching, and sharing the love of Jesus with others.
Pastor David T. Brandt
Pastor David Brandt has been our pastor at St. John’s
since the summer of 2017. He is originally from St. Louis,
MO. When he was 9 he moved to Arizona and later his
family moved to Utah where he enjoyed exploring God’s
beautiful creation in the scenery that those states offer.
After graduating from Arizona Lutheran Academy, he went
to Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. In addition to
receiving an education, it was there that he also met his
wife, Heide. After marriage, they lived in Heide's home town
of Saginaw, MI for a couple of years.
After college David attended Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI, which included a vicar year (internship) at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Aurora, IL.
After graduation from the seminary, David was privileged to serve for 9 years as a pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tomah, WI.
David and Heide have been blessed with 6 children: Max, Hailey, Ella, Lillie, Abel and Pearl. David and Heide enjoy traveling together, playing games together, and watching their children develop and grow, especially in the grace and knowledge of their Savior.
Pastor Brandt’s favorite Bible verse is Romans 8:1 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” He would love the opportunity to tell you why or to give you any other direction or comfort from God’s Word that he can.
